BRINGING THE COMMUNITY TOGETHER
In late 2013, OutReach LGBT Community Center gathered together with other LGBT Social Groups and Businesses in Madison, WI to help the PRIDE celebration become a strong event for the community. On August 10, 2014, the very first OutReach Pride Parade made its way down Willimason St, up to the Capitol Square and culminating in a rally and music. The event returned in 2015, trandsorming as a PRIDE parade, and continued that way in 2016, 2017, and 2018.
In 2019, OutReach refocused on making a festival more diverse and inclusive of all our various communities. Live music, games, food carts, vendors, and more. The hope is to heal the divides in the community, so we may come together and build new relationships, trust, and unity.
Event Details
The 6th Annual Festival is on Sunday, August 18th at Warner Park in Madison, from 1 – 6 PM. There are vendors for a variety of types – food, merchandise, info as well as an info area, a Youth Area, QTPOC Tent, and a live stage show. The cost is a suggested donation between $5-$10 but no one will be turned away!
